Hot, Hot, Hot... how else can you describe Las Vegas??? We survived the 100+ degree weather, and managed to take in some of the sights with our gracious hostess (and Owen classmate) Suzanne Ivy.

Here we are with Suzanne in front of the Luxor hotel. The sphinx is impressive, but our cab driver informed us that you can read a book 14 miles in space by the light generated by the spotlight on top of the pyramid (he told us some off-color jokes as well).

The two photos above are of New York, New York (the casino, not the real thing). A really fun place, but we were a little bummed that the rollercoaster wasn't working. The photo below is of the volcano in front of the Mirage hotel. For the uninitiated, a display of colored lights, shooting water and natural gas explosions erupts every 15 minutes to the delight of hundreds of passersby. Is this town classy or what???
